How to be better at attacking the basket in basketball?

How can i attack the basket like Derrick rose?
For starters, good shoes help tremendously. I suggest Nike Hyper-dunks or Hyper-fuses. They both provide plenty support and flexibility for quick moves and being light on your feet while being stable and balanced. I suggest working out, specifically things like plyometrics and weight lifting. Plyometrics would be things like box jumps, burpees, etc. As far as weightlifting is concerned, I suggest the powerclean, deadlift, parallel squat and pullups and bench press as the first three work your legs and lower body for leg strength and increased vertical and explosiveness and bench and pullups help build your upper body so you don't get beat up and can maintain control of the ball. Cardio helps more than you'd think as well, like suicides, parachute sprints and simple 20, 40, 50 yard dashes. Longer runs are less efficient because while they build stamina, they don't help much with the offensive part of basketball. Hope I helped.
Practising in faking driving, speed, agility, flexibility and strength (not to much on strength because you can cause a charge) you need to have a good point guard or a point guard yourself to be good at attacking the basket.
