I am thinking of importing jerseys would customs take them if they were say man u jerseys but had no nike logos or ticks whatsoever because my supplier says that he can sell them to me brandless.

Why don't you just buy the licensed ones. I know someone who is liquidating 39,000 units. All reebok NHL Jerseys with full documentation.

there still may be copyright issues with the team names themselves - you have to find out if those names (Manchester or whatever )are copyrighted
