I have Nike prestige white. Is it safe? Do I have to take the inside bottom of the show off?
Yes, it is safe as long as the shoes do not have any real leather or suede on them.
Remove the shoe laces first. (You can wash these by hand.) Then put the shoes in a pillow case for protection and close the pillowcase with rubber bands. If you have a pillowcase that zips shut, you can use this, instead.
Then wash the shoes in your machine, using the Cold water setting and liquid laundry detergent. Fabric softener is optional. You can wash them with a load of clothes. The shoes do not need to be washed by themselves.
After washing, open the shoes up and set them out to air dry...or you can dry them by setting them out in the Sun. Do not dry them in the dryer. Machine drying the shoes can ruin them.
Maybe if you wash them in cold water and leave them near a heater to dry.I would recommend sprinkling a bit of baby powder in your shoes and cleaning the outside with soap and water by hand too.
